For those of you new to couponing I wanted to compile a list of the most common coupon abbreviations. These are used throughout the blogging/couponing community and you will see them regularly. This list will help you learn what the terms mean:
Sunday Newspaper Insert Abbreviations:
- P&G = Proctor & Gamble
- SS = Smartsource
- RP = Redplum
- V = Valassis
Couponing Abbreviations:
- AC = After Coupons
- Addy = Your address
- BC = Before Coupons
- B2G1 = Buy Two Get One Free
- Blinkie = Coupon that a little machine near a product spits out in the store.
- BOGO (or B1G1) = Buy One Get One Free
- BPN = Beer purchase necessary
- BRU = Babies R Us
- BTFE = Box Tops for Education
- Cat = Catalina. Virtual Money or Coupons that print off with your receipt.
- CRT = Cash Register Tape, aka, your receipt.
- DD = Dumpster Diving
- ECB = Extra Care Buck. This is a coupon that prints from the magic machine or cash register. You can use these like cash.
- Envie = Envelope
- ES = Easy Saver. Monthly Rebate book for Walgreens.
- FAR = Free After Rebate
- Filler = An item that is used to acheive a minimum purchase amount.
- GC = Gift Card
- HBA = Health Beauty Aid
- HDA = Hot Deal Alert
- IDSO = In desperate search of. Generally this term is used if someone is really in need of a coupon or form.
- IP = Internet Printable Coupon
- IVC = Instant Value Coupon at Walgreens. Found in the ES and in the weekly adtertisement.
- MFR = Manufacturer
- MIR = Mail In Rebate
- MQ = Manufacturer Coupon
- NED = No Expiration Date
- OAS = On Any Size
- ONYO = On Your Next Order
- OOP = Out of Pocket. The amount in cash that you spend.
- PDF = This is a coupon that opens up through adobe. Often times this coupon was put up illegally and is not for mass printing.
- Peelie = This is a coupon found on the package of a product.
- PM = This can mean Price Match or Private Message.
- POP = Proof of purchase, like a UPC.
- Q = Coupon
- Rain Check = When your store is out of a sale item you would get a raincheck to secure the sale price. Rainchecks never expire!
- RAOK = Random Act Of Kindness
- RR = Register Rewards. Walgreens catalina type coupon
- SP = Stockpile, which is the collection of items you have received on sale for future use.
- Stacking = When a store coupon and manufacturer coupon are used in the same purchase.
- Tearpad = A pad of coupons or rebates near a product you can tear off.
- TMF = Try Me Free
- TQ = Target Coupon
- TRU - Toys R Us
- UPC = Bar Code of an Item
- WAGS = Walgreens
- W/L = Wish list
- WT = Wine Tag. Coupon found around the neck of a wine bottle.
- WSL = While Supplies Last
- WYB = When you buy
- YMMV = Your Mileage May Vary - This means that it may depend on your certain store as to whether or not you can do the deal.
Go to CVS.com and check the center of the page that changes to the ReadyFill program and then click on "Get a $5 coupon just for testing your health IQ." After you click on that i will take you to a page to take the quiz. It doesn't seem to matter whether you get the answers correct or not, it will show you the answer anyway. After you finish the quiz, you will have the option to pirnt the $5/$25 CVS coupon.
*The coupon is unique to your computer, so only one can be printed and used per computer.
